As a Licensed Practical Nurse with Age Care, you will implement vital policies alongside Registered Nurses, focusing on comprehensive resident care.
Your role involves liaising with health professionals and directing Personal Support Workers, ensuring all residents receive appropriately tailored support. Quick communication with healthcare teams will be essential in addressing any changes in resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses on care policies
• Maintain effective communication with healthcare providers
• Alert physicians to significant resident status changes
• Direct Personal Support Workers in care tasks
• Participate in shift reports for team information sharing
Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Competence from Ontario College of Nurses
• Familiarity with long-term care laws and practices
• Experience in geriatric and rehabilitation nursing
