Deliver exceptional nursing care as a Registered Practical Nurse with Age Care. Provide support in long-term and rehabilitation settings while collaborating with health care teams and supervising personal support workers.
As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with Age Care, you will play a crucial role in providing professional nursing care to residents. This position requires a sound knowledge of nursing practices, along with experience in geriatric and long-term care. You will collaborate closely with Registered Nurses and other health professionals to meet residents’ needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and adhere to Age Care policies and procedures
• Collaborate with Registered Nurse for resident care plans
• Liaise with physicians and the healthcare team
• Notify physicians of significant changes in residents’ conditions
• Provide direction to Personal Support Workers
Requirements:
• Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations
• Experience in geriatrics or rehabilitation nursing
• Familiarity with health and safety legislation
• Commitment to caring for elderly residents
