Aurora Part-Time Employment Support Specialist

Work with CMHA-YRSS as a part-time Employment Support Specialist in Aurora, ON. This role emphasizes collaborative client support for achieving employment and educational aspirations.

The position offers a contract of 21 hours per week until March 31, 2027, with evening and weekend availability required. You'll utilize advanced interpersonal and problem-solving skills to assess and address the unique needs of clients facing mental health challenges. By partnering with local employers, you'll create opportunities for vocational success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate employment assessments to identify client needs

• Assist clients in understanding mental health impacts on work

• Create resources for clients regarding benefits and training

• Develop community partnerships for effective placements

• Facilitate workshops on relevant life and employment skills

Requirements:

• University Degree or College Diploma in Social Services

• Experience with employment readiness programs

• Registration as a Vocational Professional preferred

• Valid driver’s license and insurance are mandatory

• Candidates must complete a Vulnerable Sector Screening
