In this temporary position, you will support students experiencing communication challenges through effective AAC systems implementation. Coordination of assistive technology trials and development of customized communication resources will be key components of your role. You will also work closely with school teams and families to optimize systems and provide critical support across educational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Speech-Language Pathologists with student assessments
• Support AAC and assistive technology trials and documentation
• Develop and prepare individualized AAC materials
• Provide group support for AAC skills development
• Consult with families and school teams for effective implementation
Requirements:
• Postgraduate diploma in Communication Disorders Assistant
• Minimum 2 years experience working as a CDA
• Experience in Alternative and Augmentative communication
• Proficient with technological supports
• Strong organizational and interaction skills
