WOLF is seeking a full-time Sr. Engineer, Software to join our multi-disciplinary Innovation team based in Aurora, ON (hybrid).
Reporting to the Director, Innovation, you will design and develop robust embedded software architectures for next-generation defense and aerospace systems.
You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where software, hardware, and firmware intersect. This role is hands-on and technical, driving high-performance computing solutions that define WOLF’s reputation for excellence.
Your Edge You hold a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field and bring 3+ years of software development and embedded systems experience. You have a strong track record designing and implementing Linux-based software architectures, developing low-level applications in C/C++ and Python , and delivering reliable solutions for the defence and aerospace industry.
You are experienced in Linux driver development and system-level programming , proficient with Git, SVN, and Git Hub , and able to collaborate with hardware, firmware, and mechanical teams. Familiarity with FPGA (Xilinx/AMD) and NVIDIA Jetson SoC platforms, multithreaded and real-time programming, and a mindset for process improvement and innovation .

Technical Expertise: C/C++, Python, Makefiles, and Bash for low-level and embedded software development
Linux Proficiency: Developing, debugging, and maintaining Linux-based systems including driver-level work
Version Control: Git, SVN, and Git Hub

Work with hardware and firmware teams for integrated solutions
Analytical Thinking: Diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Process Optimization: Improve development workflows and software reliability
Collaborative Communication: Share knowledge and align teams in fast-paced environments
System Integration: Familiarity with FPGA (Xilinx/AMD) and NVIDIA Jetson platforms
Real-Time and Parallel Programming: Multithreaded and real-time environments
Documentation: Clear, compliant technical documentation for testing and validation
Innovation Orientation: Apply creative solutions to complex challenges
