Rural Longitudinal Integrated Clerkships Coordinator

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Department of Undergraduate Medical Education.

Coordinate placement of medical students with clinical preceptors, oversee preceptor development, and serve as Rural Longitudinal Integrated Curriculum (LIC) Coordinator.

• Collect student requests and arrange clinical practice sites for each block, balancing preferences with preceptor availability.
• Work with UME Coordinators to ensure sites and students complete required paperwork and credentialing.
• Onboard new clinical sites and teachers, ensuring familiarity with rotation requirements.
• Maintain communication and a tracking database for preceptors and sites.
• Oversee collection of clinical faculty evaluations and prepare grading meetings.
• Review preceptor and site evaluations to maintain high‑quality teachers and sites.
• Recruit and retain preceptors, developing relationships and materials for recruitment and teaching benefits.
• Assist the Rural LIC Director with student scheduling for ambulatory placements, inpatient immersions, didactics, and assessments.
• Coordinate didactic schedules, speaker logistics, and student evaluations for LIC courses.
• Manage the Rural LIC Canvas website, updating materials, exams, grading forms, and supporting faculty and students.
• Coordinate distribution of student assessments and support faculty in completing required evaluations.

Minimum

• Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field.
• Two years of related professional experience.
• Military or paraprofessional experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree on a year‑for‑year basis.

Preferred

• Experience recruiting and retaining faculty preceptors and resolving scheduling conflicts.
• Experience creating and managing databases, spreadsheets, and other tracking systems.
• Experience managing courses in Canvas.

• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Analytical and process‑improvement skills.

• Strong customer service and conflict‑management skills.
