Support an Autism Program as a BCBA in a K-8 School Setting
A full-time Behavioral Specialist/BCBA role is available for the upcoming school session starting January 7, 2026, through May 21, 2026. This position focuses on supporting an Autism program within a P-8 classroom in the Aurora, CO area. The opportunity involves working directly with approximately 12 students, providing behavior intervention and classroom support.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with special education staff to implement behavior plans supporting students with Autism.
- Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to enhance student progress and classroom environment.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop individualized plans.
- Provide ongoing training and support to school staff regarding behavior management strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and data tracking related to student progress.
- Ensure compliance with district and state guidelines.
Qualifications And Experience
- Active BCBA license is required.
- Experience working in classroom environments, preferably with Autism or special education populations.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 12 students.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators and families.
- Must be available to work on-site with no virtual or hybrid options permitted.
- Preference will be given to candidates with 0-10+ years of experience within school settings.
Location and
Schedule:
- Position is based on the east side of the Denver metropolitan area in Aurora, CO.
- Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule averaging 37.5 hours per week.
- Contract duration spans the current school year from early January through mid-May.
