Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities
- Candidate will lead an original and productive research group, secure external funding, and publish their work.
Work Location: Onsite
Responsibilities- Teach courses in the graduate and/or medical schools (as applicable).
- Lead a vigorous research program and participate in professional and graduate training.
- Participate in service to the department and University.
- Collaborate with the vision science community at CU Anschutz.
- Support and contribute to the growth of the Department of Physiology and Biophysics and the Department of Ophthalmology as appropriate.
- Engage in mentoring of trainees and collaboration with colleagues across the department, school, and university.
Onsite in Aurora, CO.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree in Neuroscience, Vision Science, Physiology/Biophysics, or a closely related field
- Open rank position may be categorized as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor based on experience and qualifications.
- Three years of post-doctoral research experience (for certain ranks).
- A strong record of peer-reviewed publications and a well-developed plan for independent research and funding.
- Demonstrated excellence, originality, and productivity in research; track record of competitive, peer-reviewed grant funding; teaching experience; ability to collaborate and mentor trainees.
