Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality services to students in grades K–12. This role is under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator and involves delivering specialized instruction, offering tutorial assistance, and collaborating with general education staff to support inclusive learning environments.
Responsibilities- Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Provide direct instruction and academic support tailored to student needs
- Participate in team planning and student progress monitoring
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- Valid Colorado teaching certificate (required)
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)
- Standard Elementary Teaching
- Standard Secondary Teaching
- Standard Special Teaching
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) Endorsement
- Must meet all professional standards of practice
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
- Current health certificate (per contract/state regulation)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
