• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.

• Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs. Dependent upon assignment, this role may be working directly in a special education classroom, working in a general education classroom or environment, and/or working one-on-one with a student or small group of students.

• Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.

• After being trained, assignments require para educators to assist in toileting/ diapering activities with students of significant needs. The Para educator will only assist in this regard under the direction and direct supervision of the District/School.

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all students
