Responsibilities- Perform Project Management on New Product Development (NPD) projects from assignment through production, closing the Project File and documenting Lessons Learned.
- Ensure correct use of NPD tools (QFD, FMEA, DFMA, testing).
- Balance Marketing, Engineering, and Industrial Design viewpoints, resolving conflicts when required.
- Manage project schedule, cost, and specifications, optimizing production for right product, right time, right price.
- Conduct regular team meetings and report progress to management.
- Assist on small projects as assigned.
- Evaluate staff and resources on NPD teams.
- Improve department processes, leading continuous improvement.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Electric Engineering or equivalent; preferred Project Management coursework.
- Four or more years managing technical projects, including two years as a Project Manager.
- Facilitate team meetings, coordinate activities, and assign tasks.
- Identify project risks and lead resolution.
- Public presentations and concise written reports.
- General technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Read and follow standard operating procedures.
- Transform team members into an effective team.
- Build trust across all levels of the organization.
- Use tools from the Project Management Body of Knowledge.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Independent and creative problem‑solving.
- Drive assignments to completion.
