Engineering Project Manager
Kärcher

Salary range: $ – $, with bonus opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Project Management on New Product Development (NPD) projects from assignment through production, closing the Project File and documenting Lessons Learned.
  • Ensure correct use of NPD tools (QFD, FMEA, DFMA, testing).
  • Balance Marketing, Engineering, and Industrial Design viewpoints, resolving conflicts when required.
  • Manage project schedule, cost, and specifications, optimizing production for right product, right time, right price.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and report progress to management.
  • Assist on small projects as assigned.
  • Evaluate staff and resources on NPD teams.
  • Improve department processes, leading continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Electric Engineering or equivalent; preferred Project Management coursework.
  • Four or more years managing technical projects, including two years as a Project Manager.
  • Facilitate team meetings, coordinate activities, and assign tasks.
  • Identify project risks and lead resolution.
  • Public presentations and concise written reports.
  • General technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Read and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Transform team members into an effective team.
  • Build trust across all levels of the organization.
  • Use tools from the Project Management Body of Knowledge.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Independent and creative problem‑solving.
  • Drive assignments to completion.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and resourceful.
