This position will be based at Peterson SFB, CO.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities- Resolve tickets related to wireless network connectivity and track common outage reasons.
- Remove rogue access points (APs) and block interfering APs as identified by base NCCs.
- Administer and maintain heat maps and AP floor plans in the Airwave Management System.
- Manage and support all BITI Wireless hardware/software assets, ensuring compliance with BITI Wireless ATO.
- Provide Tier 3 support for AF BITI Wireless users, handling configuration management, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate and implement network changes and resolve wired infrastructure issues.
- Troubleshoot physical and logical connectivity issues, including Layer 1-3, Active Directory, and DHCP.
- Guide users on properly configuring devices for successful wireless network access.
- Collaborate with OEM engineers to diagnose and resolve network issues.
- Assist in compliance inspections, including CORA (CCRI), Scope Edge, and NETLAW.
- Provision and verify the network connectivity of new and relocated access points.
- Document processes for configuring and managing BITI Wireless devices.
- Provide emergency restoration support for wireless networks at remote sites.
- Maintain a database of all provisioned access points and controllers.
- Serve as a liaison between the BITI Program Office and Network Operations Security Centers (NOSCs).
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably on Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
- 3 years of experience in the administration of Juniper & Pulse Secure Network Access Controllers (NAC).
- Information Assurance (IA) Technician (IAT) Level II (DODM 8140).
- Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) or equivalent, with experience in Routers, Switches, and Network Fabric.
- Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA) or Certified Wireless Network Associate (CWNA).
- Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP).
- Aruba Certified Clear Pass Associate (ACCA).
- Aruba Certified Clear Pass Professional (ACCP).
- Valid DoD Secret clearance is required. Additionally, NATO Secret and/or DoD Top Secret/SSBI clearances, favorably adjudicated for SCI eligibility, are required at certain locations.
