- Analyze and explain purchase price, material usage, labor, and overhead variances
- Maintain labor and overhead absorption rates; validate routings and bills of material with engineering and production
- Partner with the Materials Manager to maintain the accuracy of physical inventory and cycle counts, and establish a formal process for investigating, resolving, and following up on count variances with materials and production teams
- Maintain reserves for excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory
- Provide product-level margin analysis to support pricing and product line decisions
- Maintain the fixed asset ledger, depreciation schedules, and capital project tracking
- Prepare and review capital expenditure requests, including payback and ROI analysis
- Track costs on internal projects and capitalize appropriately under AMT policy
- Manage state and local tax obligations, including sales and use tax, income and franchise tax filings, and nexus monitoring as the business expands
- Own business license registrations and renewals across all jurisdictions in which NTM operates
