Sign-on: This position may be eligible for a one-time sign on bonus up to $5,000.

Job Summary:

The Mood Disorders Outpatient Program seeks a Behavioral Health Clinician to provide clinical services to youth and families, contribute to an academic environment, and participate in program development within the CHCO PMHI outpatient clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct clinical care to patients and families including completing diagnostic evaluations, as well as providing individual, family, and group therapy.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
  • Engage in ongoing treatment monitoring, collaboration with other providers involved in a patient’s care, and disposition planning
  • Maintain timely communication with team members, supervisor, and leadership
  • Attend team meetings and educational in-services
  • Enter appropriate notes and charge captures that comply with state and federal standards in the medical record for all patients seen
  • Engage in quality improvement projects
  • Serve on committees, task forces, and/or work groups

Supervision:

Supervision received/exercised as applicable within the program and academic setting.

Work Location: Onsite in Aurora, CO.

  • Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Instructor: 1-3 years of relevant clinical experience at rank or equivalent
    • Minimum degree:
      Master’s in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or related field
    • Colorado license or eligibility for licensure in Colorado (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)

    Senior Instructor:

    • 1-3 years of relevant clinical experience at rank or equivalent
    • Minimum degree:
      Master’s in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or related field
    • Colorado license or eligibility for licensure in Colorado (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)

    Preferred Qualifications (applicable for all ranks):

    • Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience working with youth and families post-licensure
    • Experience providing evidence-based assessment and treatment to youth with mood disorders and their families
    • Preference for candidates engaged in clinical, teaching, scholarship, and service

    • Knowledge of evidence-based assessment and treatment of youth mental health concerns, particularly mood disorders, in outpatient settings
    • Teamwork and independent work ability
    • Flexibility and adaptability
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, trainees, patients, and families
    • Ability to supervise mental health trainees and consult with other professionals

    Additional Information: This posting is open-ended to recruit multiple candidates; interviews will be conducted as openings arise. The starting salary range for this position is $72,000 to $80,000. Total compensation includes benefits and is based on experience and qualifications.
