Job SummaryResponsible for design, development, testing, and maintenance of REDCap databases supporting multicenter clinical trials. Provides training, quality improvement support, and acts as subject matter expert in REDCap data management.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate project start‑up activities and participate in project meetings relevant to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of data management systems.
- Perform scientifically rigorous data management and bioinformatics analyses.
- Independently design and implement data collection instruments and workflows in REDCap, including randomization modules, longitudinal project setup, and role‑based data access controls.
- Perform thorough functional testing before database deployment.
- Maintain the database and provide administrative services for the life of the project.
- Assist team leads, supervisors, and/or management with creation and implementation of processes and procedures and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide training for study personnel on data collection, cleaning, and analysis.
- Assist with developing protocol‑specific systems and documents, including process flows, training manuals, and manuals of procedures.
- Assist with identifying issues related to operational efficiency and share results with leadership.
- Act as a subject matter expert and authority in the area of REDCap data management system.
Hybrid (2‑3 days per week on campus as needed).

- Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
- Three (3) years of REDCap development experience.
- Master’s degree in one of the aforementioned fields.
- Four (4) years of REDCap development experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Expert knowledge of database principles relevant in medical research.
- Expert ability to analyze and solve complex problems and apply quantitative analytical approaches.
- Expert level knowledge of REDCap and willingness to learn new programming languages as necessary.
- Familiarity with statistical analytical concepts and methods.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information.

Anticipated Pay Range: $70,492 to $89,666
