Child and Adolescent Psychologist, Colorado Springs

Department of Psychiatry, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus

Job Summary

Provides direct patient care to children, adolescents, and their families, including diagnostic evaluations and evidence‑based individual, family, and group therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence‑based treatment plans and engage in ongoing treatment monitoring.
  • Collaborate with internal and external providers to coordinate treatment plans and progress.
  • Maintain timely communication with team members, supervisors, and divisional leadership.
  • Supervise, teach, and mentor psychology trainees and consult with other mental‑health providers.
  • Engage in program development, quality improvement, and research projects.
  • Serve on committees, task forces, and/or work groups.
  • Enter appropriate notes and charge captures that comply with state and federal standards in the medical record for all patients seen.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Onsite in Colorado Springs, CO.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1–7 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience (depending on rank).
  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or related degree.
  • Colorado Psychologist License or eligibility for licensure.
  • Significant prior experience in a psychiatric setting serving children and adolescents.
  • Completed an APA‑approved PhD or PsyD program, including an APA‑approved internship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience after completing a post‑doctoral fellowship in child and adolescent psychology clinical work.
