SummaryResponsible for implementing the Autoimmunity Screening for Kids (ASK) program, including participant recruitment, informed consent, data collection, scheduling, survey administration, community outreach, and coordination of study protocols in a bilingual environment.
Key Responsibilities- Administer informed consent and collect demographic information.
- Assist with shipping screening kits, receipt of samples, and tracking using REDCap.
- Support clinic practice engagement and educational activities tailored to settings.
- Coordinate community outreach initiatives to increase screening awareness among underrepresented populations.
- Serve as the primary coordinator of a survey protocol; obtain consent, follow up with participants, and process study payments.
- Train student team members in study protocols and daily responsibilities.
- Translate study materials to Spanish for participants.
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to educate and support participants.
- Maintain participant confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Ensure alignment with IRB-approved protocol and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field (Entry and Intermediate rank).
- Language: Spanish fluency (reading, speaking, writing).
- Experience: At least 1 year of relevant clinical research experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in science or health‑related field; clinical research experience in an academic medical setting; pediatric phlebotomy competency; experience with REDCap or EPIC.
Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of research protocols, study design, GCP, and ethical standards.
- Basic knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Ability to engage participants, explain study goals, and guide them through the screening process.
- Problem solving, task prioritization, and flexibility in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in building effective working relationships with staff at all levels.
- Team‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work independently.
- Outstanding organizational and time‑management skills.
