Laboratory Science Professional – LCIDS

Job Summary

• Process peripheral blood samples into various fractions, including plasma, white blood cells and red blood cells.
• Manage specimen tracking, inventory, and biobanking for the Human Trisome Project and Crnic Institute clinical trials.
• Perform RNA, DNA, and protein extractions and quality control.
• Process samples for fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) and flow cytometry.
• Perform various molecular biology assays including ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, DNA-seq, Sanger sequencing, PCR, qPCR, and western blotting.
• Assist with laboratory and clinical support operations, such as autoclaving, inventories, ordering supplies, stocking.
• Tissue culture
• RNA/DNA/Protein extraction and quality control
• Assist with laboratory equipment upkeep and management.
• Plan, prepare, and execute remote biobanking activities at conferences and satellite labs.
• Attend laboratory/clinical meetings, symposiums, and trainings.
• Other related duties as assigned.
