Social Service Assistant- flexibility

We are seeking canidates who will serve as advicates for our residents, facilitating transions in and out out of our care while you help enhance the wellbeing and psycosocial health of those we serve.

The ideal applicant will have a love for the elderly or the disenfranchised populations, the ability to work easily with a variety of populations and have a passion for protectng the rights of vunerable populations.

The primary purpose of your job position is to assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing social service programs in accordance with current existing, federal, state, and local standards, as well as our established policies and procedures, to assure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis.

Assist the Social Service Director in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing of the social service programs in this facility.

Meet with administration, medical and nursing staff, and other related departments in planning social service, as directed.

Review department policies and procedures, at least annually, and participate in making recommended changes.

Perform administrative requirements, such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. and submitting such to the Director.

And any other tasks assigned to you with or without notice by SSD, management, and/or NHA.

Must have a high school diploma;
Bachelor's degree preferred

Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) preferred

Motivational Interviewing, preferred

Behavioral Therapy, preferred

$18-28/hr
