Put your expertise in school psychology to work in a vibrant educational environment in the Denver area. This contract opportunity offers flexibility in assignment length and location, with three distinct coverage options available each serving diverse student communities and age groups. As an onsite professional, youll play a pivotal role supporting students academic, social-emotional, and behavioral health during critical leave coverages at local schools.
KeyQualifications &
Experience:
- Master's degree or higher (Specialist or Doctorate) in School Psychology
- Active CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
- Prior experience working in school settings is essential
- Strong skills in assessment, critical thinking, problem-solving, oral and written communication
- Proven ability to collaborate with families, multidisciplinary teams, and outside agencies
- Calm, solution-oriented approach to crisis and multitasking in dynamic environments
- Proficiency in technology platforms related to educational and psychological services
- Successful completion of district credentialing, including background check and fingerprinting
- Deliver individual and group counseling aligned with IEP mental health goals for special education students
- Develop and implement interventions to address academic, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Conduct risk/threat assessments and crisis management activities, intervening when urgent needs arise
- Complete psycho-educational assessments, write comprehensive evaluation reports, and propose IEP goals
- Participate in collaborative meetings (IEPs, MTSS, behavioral health, staff)
- Consult and coordinate with staff, families, service providers, and community agencies
- Provide mental health support and psychoeducation for general and special education populations
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and records compliance
