Travel Surgical Tech​/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist​/CST

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR position supporting cardiovascular surgical teams with open heart experience required.

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care CVOR Tech hospital experience
• BLS, DORA, and NBSTSA certifications required
• Must be proficient in open heart procedures
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• Prior experience traveling as a CVOR Tech in large trauma facilities preferred
• Cardiovascular experience preferred
• State license required if applicable
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Hospital OR Heart Team unit supporting a 3-campus cardiovascular market
• 1:1 patient staffing ratios with day shift teams of 2 RNs and 1 CST and night shift teams of 1 RN and 1 CST
• Performs CABG, AAA, TAVR, and valve replacement procedures
• Uses GE/Stryker equipment with Meditech/CPN EMR
• Day shift schedule from 7A to 5P with no weekends
• Call requirements vary based on staffing needs and will be discussed at interview
• Must float within 25 miles of facility when needed
• Support safe and effective conduct of complex cardiovascular surgeries including open heart cases
• Collaborate closely with surgical teams to ensure strong communication with staff and providers
• Prioritize patient experience throughout procedures
• Ideal candidates are flexible, confident, and strong team players
• Does not accept local candidates and requires residency outside a 50 mile radius of the facility
