Senior Software Engineer

Leidos has a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer in our National Security Sector's (NSS) Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). Our talented team is at the forefront in Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations (CNO), Mission Software, Analytical Methods and Modeling, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), and Cryptographic Key Management.

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of $25,000.

Leidos is seeking a driven and experienced Software Engineer to support a high-stakes, mission-critical program. In this role, you’ll architect, develop, and integrate advanced AI/ML solutions that shape national security and drive meaningful innovation. • Design, develop, integrate and enhance secure AI/ML applications and systems in support of evolving operational environments
• Implement and optimize complex algorithms, including deep learning models
• Debug and optimize software for performance and reliability
• Collaborate in Agile Scrum teams to deliver rapid, high-quality releases
• Create and maintain system documentation and technical reports

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree)
• 14+ years of software engineering experience supporting programs of similar type and scope
• Proficiency in Python and modern programming languages
• Clearance Requirement:
  Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

• AWS experience implementing production-scale AI/ML systems
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud infrastructure management
• Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Hugging Face)
• Familiarity with generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok)
