RESPONSIBILITIES
Kforce has a client in Aurora, CO that is seeking an experienced Network Engineers to design, implement, and manage enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, security, and reliability of IT network systems while adhering to cybersecurity standards. This role collaborates closely with IT and operational teams to support mission‑critical network operations.
Key Responsibilities- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, wireless, and industrial networks
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive measures
- Implement and manage security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements
- Maintain documentation of network architecture, changes, and configurations
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members
- Participate in technology project planning, budgeting, and disaster recovery
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless network operations
- Network Engineer: Associate degree in Computer Science or related field; 3-5 years of network administration experience, and relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network )
- Senior Network Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field; 8 years of network experience, technical leadership experience, and advanced certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP)
- Network Engineer: 1 relevant certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Senior Network Engineer: 3 relevant certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
- Experience with industrial networking protocols and critical infrastructure
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco or Juniper hardware, VPNs, firewalls, and monitoring tools (e.g., Solar Winds, Wireshark)
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, VOIP, and network security best practices
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills
- Hybrid schedule with at least three days onsite per week
- Occasional field visits to network and operational facilities
- On‑call rotation for network or cybersecurity incidents
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs, climb ladders, and work in indoor/outdoor environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
