Position contingent on contract award. This role will be based at Peterson SFB, CO.
Responsibilities- Develop and manage databases to organize large data sets in support of business operations.
- Monitor database performance and resolve processing and programming issues.
- Design and implement database management tools to improve overall performance.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and proper storage through established access and control policies.
- Implement disaster recovery procedures to safeguard database systems.
- Provide support for integrating additional tools into the SAMP IBM Tivoli Netcool system.
- Advise users and review Standard Operating Procedures and training materials for IBM Netcool usage.
- Conduct systems analysis, design review, configuration, documentation, and implementation for SAMP concepts.
- Remediate vulnerabilities identified during resource scans against SAMP.
- Support organic and contracted efforts, including interface development with other monitoring systems.
- Contribute expertise to applications, operations, and technical support teams in application design.
- Participate in educational opportunities and professional organizations to stay updated on industry practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience, preferably on Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
- Experience in managing, implementing, and administering IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIBus, Tivoli Business Service Management, Impact, and Cognos.
- Experience with the current version of NetIQ App Manager and its subcomponents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL and Windows Server.
- Scripting experience in Perl, JavaScript, and HTML.
- Experience with network management tools such as HP IMCS, Solarwinds, etc.
- Certified Information Assurance (IA) Technician (IAT) Level II (DODM 8140)
- CompTIA Network+
Valid DoD Secret clearance is required. Additionally, NATO Secret and/or DoD Top Secret/SSBI clearances, favorably adjudicated for SCI eligibility, are required at certain locations. The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires U.S. citizenship.
