Overview
The Manager of Operations at the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) is responsible for overseeing daily business operations and providing cross-functional support across all departments. This role ensures organizational effectiveness and efficiency while also supporting membership, marketing, education, conferences, and finance functions.
Responsibilities Operations Management- Oversee office operations, internal processes, and administrative systems to ensure smooth daily functioning.
- Maintain organizational policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Support financial processes including expense tracking, budget monitoring, and vendor management in coordination with the CEO and accounting firm.
- Manage technology and database systems (CRM, website, project management tools), ensuring data accuracy and effective use across departments.
- Assist Membership, Marketing, Education/Conferences, and Finance teams with project coordination and administrative support.
- Step in as a back-up for key functions when staff are on leave or during high workload periods.
- Support membership and chapter programs, events, and communications.
- Contribute to marketing and communications efforts (timelines, proofreading, project tracking, etc.).
- Manage and track cross-departmental projects from planning through execution.
- Monitor deliverables, timelines, and outcomes, providing regular updates to the CEO and staff.
- Develop systems to streamline workflows and improve team efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in operations, project management, or nonprofit/association management preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Quick Books, project management tools, and database/CRM systems (iMIS preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Adaptable, collaborative, and detail-oriented.
Some travel is required to support the Annual Conference, chapter events, and organizational meetings.
