OverviewA Field Service Engineer contributes to the success of Hartwig by keeping our customers’ CNC machine tools running at peak operating levels through repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting. The customers we serve span a variety of industries and rely on our team to maintain and improve their equipment.
Responsibilities- Conduct high‑quality, efficient, and timely repair and installation of CNC machines
- Recommend modifications and improvements to CNC machines, equipment, and processes
- Train and instruct customers on service, repair, and proper installation
- Use software and electrical tools to locate damaged work parts and identify permanent repair solutions for CNC machines and accessories
- Complete necessary tasks in our service software and time‑card system on a daily basis
- Travel to customer sites, usually within 3 hours from home, with occasional overnight travel
- Formal education or training in troubleshooting, repair, and installation of CNC machines preferred
- 4 years of demonstrated mechanical and electrical experience preferred
- Experience repairing CNC machines preferred
- Ability to work independently and proactively seek new customer opportunities
- Good driving record and valid driver’s license to ensure fleet vehicle insurability

Salary$54,000 – $70,000 per year
