As a Line Coordinator, you will play a critical role in operating, adjusting, repairing, and maintaining our manufacturing equipment, leading a shift team. The focus of the position is to execute at the highest level of safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement in our production processes.
Major responsibilities and accountabilities- Efficiently operate, adjust, repair, and maintain making and packing equipment with safety always in mind.
- Drive machine and DMS ownership across the line (AM & PM).
- Develop action plans for the shift based on handover from previous shift and KPIs, through the Daily Direction Setting meeting at the beginning of the shift.
- Control production processes from a computer terminal and from manual interventions with the machine.
- Manually lift/load raw and packing materials into the production line.
- Perform and document all required quality documentation.
- Perform Safety and Quality Risk predictions before every task.
- Develop procedures for preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Resolve production issues—contamination, misalignment, defects, inefficiencies—through cross‑functional collaboration, operator training, and new standards.
- Drive and coach continuous improvement through loss elimination, autonomous maintenance standards, and equipment ownership to build autonomous/self‑sufficient operating teams.
- Meet or exceed production targets and quality standards.
- Work as a self‑motivated individual with minimal supervision while functioning as a leader of the team.
- Ensure staffing for operation by managing time‑off requests.
- Escalate production issues to the Production supervisor and/or line manager as needed.
- Deliver productivity targets by eliminating losses in waste, maintenance, utility, uptime, and effort costs.
- Develop, read, interpret, follow, and train job procedures, work instructions, and production standards; communicate that information accurately to teammates and other shifts.
- Train teammates in machine operation, standard development, and SOPs.
- Minimum High School Diploma with a technical background.
- 3‑5 years of manufacturing experience in continuous improvement, loss elimination, or autonomous maintenance roles.
- Experience leading others.
- Basic fluency in English, written and spoken.
- Ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts, including weekends and nights.
- Ability to occasionally work overtime.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment and production uniform (e.g., safety glasses, bump cap or hard hat, safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, hair nets, gloves).
- Physical ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs, stand for 12 hours, perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, and talk; see and hear visual/audio indicators.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience in IWS/TPM/Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Required).
Starts at $31 per hour.
