Matthews International is seeking a qualified Machine Operator to work in our Production Facility in the Aurora, IN area for our memorialization business segment. The Machine Operator will be responsible for the set up and operation of production machinery for Matthews International.

- Working with production equipment in an industrial environment.
- Working with machinery, hand and power tools in a fast paced work environment.
- Working with an organization that provides the necessary training to complete the job and advance your career.
- Work with production supervisors and operate various machinery to meet production needs.
- Determine parts to be manufactured based upon orders and stock.
- Observe and maintain machinery operation and identify defects or malfunctions.
- Multi-task and cross train in other departments and machines.
- Previous Machine operation experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torch.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
- Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
