We are currently looking for an Oven Operator to join our team based in Aurora, CO! The Oven Operator is responsible for running quality product by following procedures established by the company without deviation. Ensure that all products are produced safely, efficiently and meet all quality standards as set forth by the company. This position is also responsible for understanding related Quality Management Systems including SQF, HACCP, and GMP to ensure safety and quality of employees and products.

The job duties include responsibility for assuring food safety and for food quality for Steven Charles products.

What You'll Do Every Day
  • Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks and contributing to process and operations improvement.
  • Follow GMP’s, safety and work instructions
  • Advise Production Supervisor/Lead (Mixing and Packaging) or Q.A. inspector of any quality or other problems, which may affect the production, efficiency or consistency in product or performance.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the area. Housekeeping must be performed regularly during the shift.
  • Must understand the company’s food allergen program.
  • Able to start up ovens and make the required adjustments to the flames, injector’s head and speed to get the quality expected.
  • Able to do changeover with minimum amount of downtime.
  • Recognize when ovens are not working properly and notify Lead/Supervisor of any changes.
  • Ability to do a complete training for oven operators.
  • Maintain a 5% or less in waste.
  • Must be able to understand SPC ( Statistical Process Control ) and input data
  • Must be able to tell good quality from poor quality
  • Must be able to communicate with mixers, leads & quality of any issues
  • Troubleshoot and immediately report product or machine failures
  • Complying with and having thorough knowledge of all Steven Charles product quality standards, policies and procedures.
  • Contributing and encouraging contribution to the Steven Charles team effort.
  • Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s).
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 6 months
    -1 year of experience in a Food Manufacturing.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Flexibility to work various hours and shifts
