Plastics Machine Operator

The salary range for this position is $19 to $22 hourly depending on experience.

• Operates a variety of different types of equipment and uses numerous hand tools to produce plastics parts for production while meeting scheduling timelines.
• Produces parts according to set specifications.
• Able to start up and shut down machines, make program changes
• Be proficient at balancing and changing out molds on each arm.
• Must be proficient at de-flashing and inspecting part coming off roto mold machine.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• At least 6 months of experience in rotational molding
• Has used hand routers, hand drills, band saw, hand grinder, air ratchets, impact wrench, and other hand tools to produce parts.
• Possesses basic computer skills.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with arms and hands.
• Standing for 8 hours and frequent walking required.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to airborne particles.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually high, proper protective equipment is required.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
