American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and ACLS/BLS certification at a busy academic medical center.

• Work in a 24-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit caring for critically ill adult medical patients
• Treats pulmonary diseases, septic shock, multi-organ failure, GI bleeds, liver disease, acute respiratory failure, and drug overdose
• Utilizes therapies including ventilator support, vasoactive medications, continuous renal replacement therapy, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and post-arrest targeted temperature management
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, various days of the week
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Average daily census of 23 with 24 total beds
• Required to work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule
• Floating required within scope to sister facilities in the Metro Region based on facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active RN license (CO state or compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Academic medical center experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Must be comfortable working in a high-acuity unit
• Experience with ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, and titration of vasoactive drips required
• Experience interpreting ABGs and managing dysrhythmias required

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced critical care environment
• Navy blue scrub color required
• First-time travelers will be considered if experience requirements are met
• Candidates previously employed by the health system or its affiliates must disclose this during consideration
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during certain holiday and peak seasons
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be considered at the local bill rate
