American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 1 year of L&D experience, AWHONN Intermediate certification, and a CO or compact RN license.
Requirements- Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Skills in labor and delivery management, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care
- Women's and Infants Labor and Delivery unit with 19 rooms
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM) with rotating days of the week
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
- Weekend and on-call responsibilities required per unit needs
- Floating required within the Women and Infant Unit, and may be required within the metro region per facility needs
- Uses Epic charting system
- Navy scrubs required
- Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum phases
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and high-risk deliveries
- Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
- Perform fetal monitoring and recognize abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Provide newborn care immediately following delivery
- Complete facility-specific training modules within the first week of assignment
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Maximum 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during peak census times
- No blocked scheduling requests permitted
- Candidates previously employed by the health system or its affiliates must disclose this information
- Local candidates accepted at a reduced bill rate if residing within 75 miles of the facility
