Security Control Room Officer – Poly Required
Full‑time, exempt position located in Aurora, CO. Requires TS/SCI with polygraph. 12‑hour Panama schedule.
Position OverviewWe need a highly skilled Security Control Room Officer (Unarmed Guard) to protect a state‑of‑the‑art data center. You will monitor surveillance systems, manage alarms, coordinate rapid responses, and enforce security protocols.
What You’ll Do- Coordinate security operations, oversee surveillance systems, alarm dispatch, and logging events.
- Conduct SCIF patrols and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Enforce client and company policies, maintain access controls, and perform inspections.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and security concerns per established post orders.
- Monitor camera and electronic surveillance, guide personnel, and handle locks.
- Prevent theft and promote security awareness to employees, vendors, and contractors.
- Provide mail delivery and package receipt services as required.
- Maintain competency standards and deliver reports per Site Manager.
- Complete required training, including pre‑assignment, state, and PGI sustainment training, and collateral duties such as armory maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 1 year security or local, state, or federal law enforcement experience; or 2 years honorable military service; or equivalent.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Completion of security officer training and sustainment training.
- Reliable transportation all seasons.
- Strong knowledge of technology and troubleshooting in data‑bearing devices.
- Excellent verbal, written, and email communication in English.
- High school diploma or GED.
- PGI Security Guard Certification, including fingerprints and background investigation.
- Pass pre‑employment and periodic drug screening.
- U.S. citizenship.
- 4 years security, military, or law enforcement experience.
- Historically successful operations in highly secure facilities.
- Current state issued Security Guard Certification or ability to obtain one.
- Minimum TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Ability to bend, lift, and perform varied training functions.
- Walk on uneven surfaces and long distances, operate equipment, and stand for a 12‑hour shift.
