** PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
** Salary to be commensurate with experience

The hiring range for this position is $22.01 - $27.51/hour

* OVERVIEW OF POSITION / DEPARTMENT Performs manual labor duties in the operation, maintenance and repair of pump/lift stations and tanks/fore bays operating in the raw, potable, reuse and irrigation water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems and wet wells.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  
* Assists with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair activities at pump/lift stations, including pump rebuilds, motor removal/installation, check valve rebuilds and related infrastructure including tanks, forebays and wet wells
* Performs other related duties as assigned
* Responds to pump station and lift station emergencies
* Participates in mandatory Standby Duty with a 45 minute response time
* Performs snow removal activities
* Perform other related duties as assigned
** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & WORKING CONDITIONS
** An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

Education:

* High school diploma or GED

Experience:

* 1-year manual labor experience Knowledge:
* Understanding of hazards and common safety practices
* Understanding of hand tools and their uses

Skills:

* Skilled in the safe use of hand and power tools Abilities:

* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management and contractors/vendors
* Ability to understand oral and written instructions
* Ability to operate or receive training on various types of tools and equipment
* Effective use of computers and electronic devices
* Ability to recognize hazards Licenses and Certifications

Required:

* State issued driver license

Ability to obtain with in first 6 months
