Database management and maintenance: implement, manage, and maintain various production Mongo

DB sharded databases across AWS environments. Monitor database performance, implement changes and improvements, and provide strategic solutions that align with business requirements. Design and implement database backup, recovery, and failover strategies to ensure optimal data protection and availability. Collaborate within the team on capacity planning, disk space management, redundancy/HA, change management, and overall database operations-mentor team members with less advanced database skills.

Create detailed documentation for all database design decisions, optimization improvements, and production issues.

Required Qualifications:

* 5+ years of database & software development experience.
* Expert understanding of data modeling, index analysis & optimization in No-SQL databases (Mongo

DB preferred)
* Expert understanding of data modeling, index analysis & optimization in SQL databases (Postgre

SQL preferred)
* Expert understanding of replication, sharding, partitioning, and performance tuning
* Working experience with source code version control (Git).

Preferred Qualifications:

* AWS and/or Terraform, experience with other Government clouds
* C++ software development
* Experience with Golang software development
* Security requirements:

The salary range is $135,000 to $155,000; however, NASK Incorporated considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role and responsibilities, work experience, education, training, certifications, geographic location, and market data.
