Clearance: Active TS/SCI (or transferable Top Secret)
Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 with full benefits (W-2)

The organization is seeking a Software Engineer to support the modernization and upgrade of a complex, mission-critical hardware/software system
. The selected engineer will help design, integrate, and test advanced software solutions that enhance system performance, reliability, and security across multiple domains.

This role is 100% on‑site in Aurora, Colorado.

• Upgrade and maintain software versions for COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf) and FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) components.
• Develop, integrate, and test software updates for large-scale mission systems.
• Support upgrades to both software and hardware infrastructure to ensure mission continuity and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams of engineers, architects, and program leaders in an Agile environment.
• Participate in Dev Sec Ops and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) processes to support secure, iterative development.

• Exposure to advanced software technologies and cutting‑edge defense systems

• Hands‑on experience with Dev Sec Ops  pipelines and modern automation tools

• Application of software lifecycle management best practices on large-scale defense programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Experience developing object-oriented software using Java

• Experience with Visual Basic and Python
  .
• Working knowledge of Oracle databases
  .
• Familiarity with both Windows and Red Hat Linux operating systems.
• Experience with development tools such as Jira

  , and Eclipse
  .
• Active and transferable TS/SCI clearance (or Top Secret eligible for crossover).
• U.S. citizenship required due to security clearance restrictions.
