We are looking for an experienced Sr. Principal Software Engineer (Level
4) to augment our team. Successful candidates will support the Data Team in the development of data management services. This position will be based in Aurora, CO.

This Software Engineer will be on an Agile team supporting two programs with a singular baseline. Will be working in the office executing 2 week Sprints for 3 month increment deliveries.

As a engineer, you'll be joining our growing Aurora Software and Digital Engineering department which has 200+ Software Engineer, Dev Ops Engineer, Systems Administrator, Database Administrator, and Network Engineer peers from entry-level to the most senior chief engineers and architects. Sr. Principal Software Engineers frequently get into informal (example: Subject Matter Expert) and formal technical leadership roles within their programs, as applicable and per interest.

Our Software Department is part of a larger organization that includes Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test staff as well as a Hardware Engineering unit. This larger organization influences cross-program collaboration, professional development and training, as well as engagement and inclusion activities such as lunch-n-learns, campus events, and leadership mixers.

• Level 4:
  Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of relative experience; master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 6+ years of relative experience;
  PhD + 4 year of relative experience. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required at time of application
• Successful candidates will be a strong JAVA developer
• Successful candidates will be experienced with software design and software unit testing
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, microservices architecture and object-oriented designs.

• Some experience with Keycloak, NodeJS framework, Front End GUI design and implementation, and Grafana would be preferred.

Primary Level Salary Range: $ - $

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
