The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Experienced Full‑Stack Software Engineer to support our Fish Tools team located in Aurora, CO or Chantilly, VA
. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization.

The Fish Tools program seeks a hardworking, motivated, and creative full‑stack software developer to engineer new solutions and capabilities for agile software applications. This engineer will assist/lead design and development of front‑end user interfaces that integrate with cloud‑based software systems that follow modern Dev Sec Ops  and Agile execution processes. This engineer will coordinate and execute in collaboration with UX designs across large, multi‑faceted scaled systems.

The customer’s needs require state‑of‑the‑art, software‑intensive systems to efficiently and optimally task, plan, exploit, and disseminate data for hardware platforms (e.g. satellites, ground systems, etc.) for maximum stakeholder value.

• Analyzing high level customer requirements and deriving lower‑level functional requirements.
• Software development tasks including detailed software design, coding, and unit/integration/functional/system testing of customer desired features/user stories.
• Briefing software designs and demonstrating software release functionality to customer/stakeholders/end users.
• Develop and sustain new and existing applications; as well as troubleshoot and resolve various software issues.
• Contribute to the creation of new distributed components and interactions that align with the future system architecture. The existing multi‑tiered system is developed on a cloud infrastructure with several consumer‑facing web applications.
• Occasional business travel and after‑hours support may be required.

• This position requires an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
• 3+ years of foundational knowledge of object‑oriented design and software patterns.
• Experience with Git Version Control.

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Solid experience in Java (1+ years).
• Experience with one or more of the following: HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, Firebug and JS frameworks (REACT, jQuery, jQuery UI, Open Layers, etc.), Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, Mongo
  
  DB, XML, SOAP, REST, WSDL/Web Service protocols.
• Experience using dependency management (Ivy, Maven, Gradle).
• Experience developing and maintaining SOAP, RMI, REST APIs and interfaces.
• Experience using cloud‑based infrastructure (AWS).
• Experience using automation server (Jenkins).
• Experience/knowledge of the GEOINT domain.
• Familiarity with practices such as test‑driven development (TDD), agile software development, continuous integration, and dependency management is preferred.
