The primary role of the Logistics Specialist (LS) involves loading and unloading tires for warehouse storage and/or timely customer delivery, including the unloading and staging of products at the customer’s business location. The LS is expected to represent Tire Hub professionally in all customer interaction and maintain safe driving practices, all while delivering exceptional customer service and fostering strong customer relationships.

Starting wage: $22.50 per hour with guaranteed increases of $2.00 over the first year of employment.

Work schedule:

Monday through Friday (25‑30 hours a week).

Responsibilities
  • General warehousing duties.
  • Delivery services.
  • Vehicle maintenance.
  • Loads, unloads, inspects, and tallies tires to and from transport vehicles (trailer trucks, box trucks, delivery vans).
  • Follow Tire Hub safety standards for packing, counting, labeling, and palletizing customer orders; place orders using the bin locator system.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Conduct cycle counts, tallies, and labeling as part of inventory control procedures.
  • Collect payments from customers on Cash on Delivery (COD) transactions.
  • Keep vehicles clean and in good mechanical/physical condition; conduct pre/post‑trip inspections daily.
  • Complete driver and vehicle maintenance logs regularly.
  • Ensure compliance with all Tire Hub policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor or leadership.

Requirements
  • At least 1 year of general work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • At least 3 years of driving history (excluding permits).
  • Minimum age 19.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Capability to repeatedly lift, pull, push, and/or move tires up to 50 lbs with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Ability to bend, twist, and lift frequently.
  • Multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Accurate and efficient loading, unloading, and placement of tires.
  • Work up to 35 ft above ground level.
  • Work up to 8 hours per day operating a forklift.
  • Follow traffic rules, safely drive Tire Hub vehicles to customer locations.
  • Independent and teamwork proficiency.
  • Familiarity with Manifest, GPS, and Navigation systems.
  • Maintain forklift certification.
  • Maintain valid REAL I.D. driver’s license with ≥2 years of driving experience (3 years preferred).
Working Conditions
  • Lifting, pulling, pushing, and moving tires up to 50 lbs or more with standard procedures.
  • Stand, walk, kneel, bend, crawl, climb, balance as required.
  • Possible handling of hazardous materials; wear protective equipment.
  • Vision requirements may include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Work in various settings, from non‑controlled warehouses to customer locations.
  • Extended day, evening, and weekend work (including Saturday); may be required with little notice.
  • Night driving or inclement weather may be required.
