BGSF has teamed up with a large manufacturing company based in Aurora, who is in search of a Corporate Controller. The ideal candidate for this will come with at least several years of management level experience and have experience working in the manufacturing industry. Please note this is a direct-hire opportunity and will operate on a hybrid schedule (In office Tuesday - Thursday).

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to executive leadership.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting systems.

Accounting Operations

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and payroll.
• Lead the monthly and year-end close processes and ensure timely completion.
• Oversee cost accounting processes specific to manufacturing, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate product costing and inventory controls.

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Job Requirements:

• 7+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years managing a team
• Must have experience working in the manufacturing industry
• CPA preferred but not required
