    Role Value Proposition:

    Responsible for planning and managing the implementation of Voluntary Benefits Products for new clients and add coverages for existing clients. Reviews sold plans and project timelines with Sales and Service to identify any non-standard provisions or services that may impact cost or Met Life’s ability to meet/exceed customer expectations. Partner with business units including Sales, Service, IT, Vendor Management, and other administrative business units to ensure that implementations are delivered consistently, timely, and of high quality.

    Prepare, review, and finalize a project plan. Conduct weekly or periodic status meetings with Internal Implementation Project Team to review progress and resolve issues. Will be responsible for system set up and any system related issues associated with new plan installations including issues with interface between internal systems and customer payroll systems. Supports customers with 5,000+ covered lives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Contributes to the success of the implementation project team on projects ranging from single product installations to large, complex installations. Prepares and finalizes project plans. Ensures accurate flow of clients' plan eligibility/participant data to administrative recordkeeping and payment systems.
    • Assists in coordinating responses to day-to-day client service requests during the installation and conversion process. May participate in sales presentations and/or facilitate consultation on plan design and administrative services. Documents finalized plan design and communicates to the implementation team.
    • Coordinates responses to client requests during the installation and conversion process. Partners with other business units (Sales, Service, IT, Vendor Management, etc.) to ensure that implementations are delivered consistently, timely, and accurately.
    • Conducts weekly or periodic status meetings with various parties to review progress and resolve issues. Loads all plans, structure, and rates into systems to facilitate file testing, data flow to vendors, and certificate generation.

    Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

    Required:

    • 3-5+ years of non-IT project management related experience managing business and/or operational type projects
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
    • Strong project, program and change management skills with a proven track record of managing and executing all phases of project initiatives
    • Strong facilitation skills and the ability to design effective meeting agendas, lead group decision making, resolve conflicts, etc.
    • Ability to effectively influence and interact/collaborate with team members, partners, and senior management
    • Ability to work independently and utilize available resources for learning and development
    • Effectively recognize when to escalate issues to senior management for resolution
    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead, motivate and support project team
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
    • Proven ability to work effectively across a matrix environment
    • Ability to champion continuous improvement and continuous learning & development
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint), MS Project a plus

    Preferred:

    • Knowledge of Voluntary Benefit Products and Services
    • Knowledge of CDF and CBS (Met Life Systems)
