Sonova is seeking a Procurement Manager Generalist to join our dynamic team in Chicago. This role is integral to the management of all aspects of indirect spend across North America. The ideal candidate will be responsible for devising and implementing effective procurement strategies, managing supplier relations, and ensuring cost‑effective purchases that align with company goals and standards.

The role will co‑manage a spend of 100

MUSD across all Sonva business units and companies in the Americas.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies across various indirect spend categories.
• Analyze market trends and adapt procurement strategies accordingly.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts and terms to achieve favorable conditions.
• Continuously seek cost‑saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
• Monitor and report on cost‑related performance metrics.
• Work closely with various departments to understand their procurement needs.
• Ensure alignment of procurement activities with overall business objectives.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and legal standards.
• Stay updated with relevant regulations and market changes.
• Lead and manage procurement projects from conception to completion.
• Address any challenges that arise during the procurement process.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Present procurement strategies and results to senior management.

• Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; advanced education a plus.
• 5+ years of procurement experience, preferably in a generalist role and with international exposure.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and analytical/problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient in procurement systems (P2P, SAP, Ariba) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing abilities; effective team player.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to perform in fast‑paced, dynamic environments.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

A minimum of 200

Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova.
