Project Manager - Civil Construction

A well-established civil construction contractor in the Greater Chicago Area is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in civil construction, site development, excavation, underground utilities, or infrastructure projects who wants to take ownership of projects from start to finish.

• Manage civil construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, costs, and overall project performance.
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and other project stakeholders.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project reporting.
• Work closely with Superintendents and field leadership to keep projects on schedule.
• Track project costs and help maintain profitability.
• Assist with procurement, material coordination, and subcontractor management.
• Identify potential project issues early and develop solutions.
• Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the project.

• Previous Project Management experience in civil construction

• Experience with sitework, excavation, underground utilities, earthwork, or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction schedules, budgets, plans, and specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with field and office teams.
• Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
