About the Role

Dental Hygienist – Full‑time, 4 days a week at Western Dental & Orthodontics. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who loves building and maintaining positive relationships with patients to join our team. Sign‑on bonus of $5K! Our team performs a variety of preventative dental procedures and educates patients on oral hygiene. From routine cleanings to oral health education, you will be instrumental in helping our patients achieve and maintain their best smiles.

In addition to technical duties, you will teach patients appropriate oral hygiene techniques and provide counseling on nutrition and its impact on oral health. We value teamwork, so you will partner with the dentist(s) in your office to provide the best treatment for patients, and you will work with our dedicated dental hygiene support team for coaching and mentorship.

Responsibilities
  • Provide oral hygiene services including thorough and gentle prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, polish restorations, and application of cavity preventative agents such as fluorides and sealants.
  • Accurately chart and review patient dental history, update records, monitor periodontal health, document treatments, and manage patient records securely in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist the dentist as directed.
  • Administer local anesthetics (if allowed by practice act).
Qualifications
  • Degree or certificate in hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to interact professionally with patients and staff.
  • Ability to travel between locations (preferred).
