Overview

Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois, invites applications for the position of General Surgeon. We are seeking a Board Eligible / Board Certified General Surgeon to join our established practice in the western suburbs of Chicago. Rush Copley Medical Center is part of the Rush University System for Health network.

• Bread and butter elective general surgery practice consisting of 4 surgeons and 2 APPs; recruiting for future state of 5 surgeons and 4 APPs
• Level II trauma center, inpatient census 25-30 patients per day
• High volume operative practice with 12 hours clinic per week
• Shared practice call schedule of 1 day per week and rotating 1:5 weekends
• Trauma call is required and rotated 1:5
• Clinic conveniently located on the hospital campus

• Proficiency in robotic-assisted procedures
• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical institution
• Board-eligible or certified in General Surgery
• Valid Illinois medical license or ability to obtain licensure

Pay Range: $420,000 - $580,000. Rush offers competitive total compensation including base pay, benefits, and incentive programs. This range reflects factors such as knowledge, experience, education, licensure, location, and performance. The role is full-time (1.0 FTE) and may include sign-on/retention bonuses and relocation allowances. Rush offers a comprehensive benefits package.
