Billing Associate

Position Overview

Billing Associate role at Rush Copley Medical Center.

• Process insurance bills in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review and determine accuracy of demographic, insurance, and billing data; correct and update as needed.
• Answer all calls, voicemails, and correspondence within department standards.
• Ensure patient billing is sent to carriers timely and accurately, including ordering, reordering, and mailing as required.
• Maintain current computer system knowledge to enable accurate processing of financial changes such as billing status, collector codes, late charges, etc., ensuring proper billing and collection cycles.

• Minimum of 2 years previous healthcare billing experience.
• Experience working with health insurance benefit plans.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• EPIC experience is preferred.
