Planning and Systems Section Chief; Senior Public Service Administrator

The Illinois Department of Transportation seeks a Senior Public Service Administrator to serve as Section Chief of Planning and Systems. This role involves planning, developing, and managing comprehensive data collection, analysis, and reporting for statewide roadway, structure, and traffic data programs to meet federal and state requirements. The successful candidate will oversee the Illinois Pavement Condition Rating Survey, supervise staff, and provide strategic leadership on performance-management initiatives.

• Four years of college with courses in business, marketing, mathematics, statistics, public administration, or project management
• Four years of progressively responsible administrative experience researching, extracting, compiling, and analyzing data in a public or business organization
• Two years of experience utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Three years of supervisory experience
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel with overnight stays
