Sanitation Manager

Shift: 3rd 7:30 PM – 6:30 AM

Factor_, a brand of Hello Fresh, is seeking a Sanitation Manager to develop, implement, and continuously improve on sanitation programs, policies, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the facility.

• Develop and implement strategic sanitation programs, policies, and procedures to ensure that sanitary performance meets Factor standards and supports Food Safety requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain and write detailed procedures and SOPs for all plant equipment.
• Maintain and update the master cleaning schedule for the plant according to GMP and Factor guidelines.
• Manage sanitation chemical supply and inventory.
• Build and maintain relationships with hourly associates, managers, carrier partners, vendors, and various departments within Hello Fresh.
• Effectively engage, coach, motivate, and lead the sanitation team for career progression and development.
• Participate in audits, facility inspections and coordinate pre‑operational inspections with QA Management.
• Develop and implement all sanitation related training for sanitation and plant employees as needed.
• Ensure all safety requirements related to sanitation are met, including proper chemical storage, MSDS, PPE, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in food science or related business, or equivalent/2‑4 years of plant quality/food safety/sanitation experience.
• Must possess the knowledge and skills required to work in a fast‑paced, challenging environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and time‑management skills.
• Must display strong leadership qualities.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and environmental sanitation programs is required.
• Experience with third‑party regulatory agencies such as SQF, FDA, USDA is preferred.
• Understands and can apply basic microbiological principles.

Illinois Pay Range: $95,900—$107,900 USD
