Production Technician

Position Overview:

The Production Technician is responsible for all aspects of plant processing from post-crop harvest through packaging and labeling of the final product, as outlined by the management team and SOPs. Responsibilities include post-harvest tasks such as drying, curing, trimming, packaging, and labeling the product. The position requires timely work, a focus on increasing productivity, and professionalism in managing production facilities and equipment.

Pay: $17.50 per hour

Major Areas of Responsibility include:

• Assisting in post-harvest plant processing of cannabis.
• Fan leaf removal, harvesting, drying, trimming, curing, weighing, packaging, labeling, recording, inspection, cleaning, and sanitation.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Transporting harvested plants to the drying room and hanging for drying.
• Hand trimming or operating trimming machines to remove excess plant material.
• Weighing, recording, shredding plant waste, and adding non-cannabis medium for compliant disposal.
• Following instructions and assisting with delegated tasks from management.
• Working efficiently and quickly.
• Complying with HR policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure.

Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):

• Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
• 1-3 years of experience in a production role, including hands-on activities.
• Knowledge of weights and measurements.
• Availability for evening, night, weekend work if required.
• Speed, precision, and attention to detail with equipment.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain consistency daily.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods.

Additional Abilities Required:

• Exposure to pollen, dust, and plant particles.
• Physical activity including prolonged sitting, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions accurately.
• Moderate noise level in the work environment.
