Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Laboratory Technician who shares our passion for quality medicine for patients who need them. The Laboratory Technician assists with operating the facility’s extraction equipment, utilizing processing protocols and strategies, and managing day-to-day production. The technician supports the extraction department by manufacturing, storing, maintaining, and procuring all equipment and materials necessary to run a world-class laboratory.

Major Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, including grinding mills, rotovaps, and other processing apparatuses.
  • Assist with refining, distilling, isolating, combining, capturing terpenes, coordinating inventory, analyzing potency, and microbial testing.
  • Follow all SOPs, guidelines, and government regulations applicable to the industry.
  • Accurately weigh, label, and store materials; identify and report deviations.
  • Manage inventory of raw materials and record data using software platforms.
  • Develop and update SOPs to ensure safety, quality, and process control.
  • Handle hazardous materials safely and use PPE properly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Monitor and manage lab and processing supplies.
  • Contribute to an inclusive and positive workplace culture.
  • Work as part of a team to meet production schedules and support new product and process development.
  • Exemplify good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
  • An Associate’s degree in a science discipline (biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, etc.) is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, food, beverage, and/or cannabis industries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory tracking systems.
  • Strong math and conversion skills.
  • Background in natural product extraction (e.g., ethanol, essential oils) is desirable.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Attention to detail, willingness to learn and improve.
  • Availability for occasional weekends and holidays.
  • Willingness to travel for training purposes.
  • Valid driver’s license or State .
  • Must pass all background checks.
  • Pay: $19.00/hour plus benefits

    Additional Abilities Required:

    • Physical activity including prolonged standing, bending, climbing, and lifting/moving up to 10 pounds or more with assistance. Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions accurately. Moderate noise level in the work environment.
